Support in the procedure of double and joint degree at doctoral level

    Umeå University trains doctoral students with an international dimension both for academia and for society. Offering double or joint degree is a step in increasing international collaborations. Another benefit is giving Umeå University as well as doctoral students an increased access to international networks.

    Before a collaboration is begun, a view shall be taken on whether the collaboration shall result in a double or joint degree in accordance with Guidance – the choice of a double or joint degree at doctoral level.

    The aim of the support is to facilitate the preparatory work, the planning and to create the conditions for the participation of Umeå University and the doctoral students to be in accordance with the rule of law. The procedure of double and joint degree contains a guide, administrative procedures, templates of written agreements, template for the degree certificate of joint degree and template for individual study plan.
