Working hours

    The terms of your working hours may vary depending on your position and they are regulated by various agreements.

    There are essentially two agreements that regulate working hours for employees at Umeå University.

    The working hours agreement for teachers is a local collective agreement that covers these positions

    • professor
    • adjunct professor
    • visiting professor
    • associate professor
    • assistant professor
    • adjunct associate professor
    • visiting lecturer
    • research fellow
    • assistant professor
    • postdoctoral fellow
    • lecturer
    • adjunct lecturer

    The agreement is in part also applicable for doctoral students.

    The working hours agreement for technical and administrative (T/A) staff is a local collective agreement that covers those who work on technical and/or administrative tasks.
