Information about the introductory programme

The introductory program consists of three parts and the content of the programme is target-oriented towards employees and scholarship holders.

The programme is available in the university's learning platform Canvas. To be able to log in and register for the course, you need an Umu-id. A link to activate your Umu-id will be sent to you on the first day of employment. If you are a scholarship holder you need help from your departments administrator to get your Umu-id.

Part one: An online programme with videos and texts

The first part is a digital programme structured into a number of modules consisting of videos and explanatory texts. This part is a summary of some of the most important things you need to know as a new employee, if you want more in-depth information, you will find this on the staff web.

You must complete all parts of a module to continue to the next one. Completing all modules takes between two and three hours. You can choose the pace you want to complete the programme at, and pause at any time to continue later. When you have completed all modules, the registration to seminars and social event is open.

Part two: Introductory programme seminar for new researchers, teachers and doctoral students
