A new society for postdocs – Kick-off event 2 October

Some ideas for the future for the society are social/networking events, career planning and grant writing workshops. Please share your ideas!

The Kick-off event takes place on Friday 2nd of October at 15:30 in Lilla and Stora Hörsalen located in the KBC building, where we can all get-together and exchange our ideas of what a society of postdocs could do. After some talks, we will share some food and drinks to continue the discussion.

This event is organized according to the safety guidelines of the Umeå University, regarding the covid-19 situation. Therefore, two large rooms with spacious seating have been booked. The presentation will be available through a zoom link as well.

Programme:

- Introduction talk by the advisory board members: Professor Oliver Bilker, Director of MIMS, and Professor Magnus Wolf-Watz, Department of Chemistry.
- Small presentation of the UPS: the organizing committee members
-Open discussion
