4 May 2021

Vaccination is currently underway in Sweden and several members of staff have already been offered their first dose. To simplify for staff to get vaccinated, the university is now offering staff to get vaccinated during paid work hours.

"The university has taken a number of measures during this pandemic to protect our staff from falling ill. Therefore, it feels natural to also simplify for staff to get vaccinated, also if it needs to take place during work hours. Vaccination aims to reduce the spread of infection in society, which is what we need to be able look ahead," says Hans Wiklund.

Shortly, vaccination of the biggest part of the population, called Phase 4, will commence. Giving more citizens the opportunity to get vaccinated in the daytime and be flexible choosing among the time slots offered also intends to simplify and speed up the vaccination process.
