Opportunities to initiate or develop collaborations with South Africa

The South Africa – Sweden University Forum (SASUF) is hosting its 4th Research and Innovation Week which takes place virtually on 19-23 September 2022. Call for workshops/sessions for SASUF Goes Digital 2022 is open.

The Research and Innovation Week is providing opportunities for researchers, students as well as university leadership to come together, share research, methods and ideas, and strengthen international collaborations between South Africa and Sweden.

Workshops/sessions can be organized by individual researchers, universities or any other organisation linked to research, education or innovation, and can include students, researchers, industry, NGO:s, university management or any relevant groups, and should involve collaborators from both countries.

The event is followed by the opening of a call for seed funding focused on virtual collaboration projects.

Deadline is 21 August.

About SASUF
SASUF 2030 is a transformative project uniting 38 universities from across Sweden and South Africa. Bringing together leading researchers, teachers, students, university leaders and other stakeholders, the project will develop joint solutions to the challenges posed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Agenda 2030. Umeå University has been a part of the project since 2018.
