Campus and facilities

Umeå University does not own any premises. Most of the premises are owned by Akademiska Hus, but the University also rents from several other property owners such as Balticgruppen and Västerbotten County Council. The Property Management Office and the Campus Services Office are responsible for ensuring that the premises are maintained, adapted and developed according to the University's needs.

Changed needs for premises

If your department or unit is in need of new, larger or smaller premises, contact the Property Management Office. The Property Management Office can also give advice and assist with the purchasing of new furnishing.

Services in the buildings

All employees and students at Umeå University have access to various services, such as janitorial and building services. Further information about these services can be found in the menu. If you have questions or comments about the services, please contact the head of unit for your building.

Inquire the use of secondhand furniture

Umeå University has a large amount of used pieces of furniture in storage that departments and offices can inquire and make use of. Please fill out and submit this form to Infocenter. The Property Management Office investigates if the sought-after pieces of furniture are available and will then contact you.

Lost property

Lost property is handed over to the Campus Services Office or to Infocenter. The Campus Services Office will hand over lost property to Infocenter once a month.
