You can design and order your poster using the graphic design tool, which is a web-based service to produce graphic design products based on set templates.
We offer printing of scientific posters and other large formats on three different materials. The material also determines the delivery time.
- Paper = 2 working days. The fastest delivery time, but keep in mind that it is fragile.
- Paper + laminate = 3 working days. By laminating the paper, it gets a protective glossy surface.
- Textile = 3 working days. If you plan to travel with the poster, textile is a good choice. You can easily fold the poster and pack it in a suitcase. Afterwards, you can gently iron it or hang it in the bathroom as moisture helps smooth it out.
Please note that these delivery times apply for pick-up at the Infocenter. If you wish for delivery within or outside the university, this is possible. Additional costs for shipping and packaging will apply. Also, expect an extra delivery day within the university and 2-3 days outside the university.
Express Delivery
For faster deliveries than those mentioned above, an express fee of 25% of the price will be added. Express orders cannot be made via the graphic design tool. Instead, download the print original and send the order via email.
Scientific Poster with the graphic design tool
The template for the scientific poster can generate posters in many different sizes and layouts and always follows the graphic profile of Umeå University. When you are satisfied with your poster, you can order printing via the built-in media cart. The price for the poster (including VAT) is shown when the product is added to the media cart. Posters ordered via the graphic design tool, are significantly cheaper than posters created via PowerPoint or similar programs, so this price applies only to posters designed and ordered in the graphic design tool.

Scientific poster with original design
It is still possible to order posters that have not been designed in the graphic design tool. We need your poster as a PDF file and with the dimensions it should be printed in. As a rule, we do not accept PowerPoint files. If you were to send a PowerPoint file, you need to be prepared to approve a PDF proof via email before we proceed to print. Quality control of images, format, and printability is always done. Your original is also checked to ensure it follows the graphic profile of Umeå University. Posters that do not follow the graphic profile cannot be printed. Order via the form below.
