Reappointing the Pro-Vice-Chancellor

    The University Board has approved the reappointment of Professor Katrine Riklund as Pro-Vice-Chancellor and deputy to the Vice-Chancellor for the period 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2025.

    On 6 October, the University Board reached the formal decision to propose to the Swedish Government the reappointment of Hans Adolfsson as Vice-Chancellor of Umeå University for the period 1 July 2022 until 31 June 2025. The decision also meant appointing a Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the same period.

    In early December 2021, the University Board reached the formal decision to proceed with the process of reappointing Pro-Vice-Chancellor Katrine Riklund for her current role.

    The Government's decision to reappoint the Vice-Chancellor will be reached later on this spring semester.
