Call for pitches: Life Science Research Workshop

    Umeå Center for Microbial Research, UCMR, and Umeå Plant Science Center, UPSC, in collaboration with IceLab, KBC, MIMS and WCMM are planning a second call for the multi-disciplinary "Excellence by Choice" Postdoctoral Programme in Life Science. Therefore, before the announcement, a workshop is organized for discussion and identification of working groups.

    Workshop time: 15 November, at 9:00-16:00
    Location: At campus, location to be announced

    This is a platform for brainstorming open to anyone with an interest in life science.

    The workshop will be held in English and is an informal occasion for discussion and identification of working groups. The overall theme is to promote synergies from molecular to clinical and translational research, including biological and medical problems, technologies, methods, resources, etc in life science research areas.

    The programme will be finalized once we have received all pitch proposals. Please send the title of your pitch to Ingrid Söderbergh, research coordinator at UCMR, no later than 15 October:

    Each of the topics should be briefly outlined and "pitched" during the workshop. Plan for a 5-minute pitch followed by 10 minutes of questions.
