The Office's mission consists of providing skilled secretarial and administrative support to the Faculty Board of Medicine, faculty management, the Faculty's various boards, councils and committees. The Office is support to the Faculty's departments, centres and work units, as well as a link between the University's central units and the Faculty.
The Faculty Office aims to deliver operational support with high quality, efficiency and accessibility. We work systematically with continuous improvements to our way of working. The Swedish governments core values permeate our operations.
The Office is organized into three units
Education, Research, and Communication
The unit's employees provide support to faculty management, departments and the Faculty's various boards, councils and committees in the area of research, education, and communication.
Finance and HR
The unit's employees provide support to faculty management and departments/heads of departments in finance and HR. Administrative support to the Hiring and Docent Board, ADN, is within the purview of this unit. The unit also supports the Faculty of Medicine's union collaboration, FSG.
Medical Programme
The Medical Programme unit's employees administer the clinical semesters of the Medical Programme, the studies guidance for the programme, as well as relocation issues including administrative support in Sunderbyn, Sundsvall, and Östersund. The unit also administers support for the proficiency test for doctors trained outside the EU and EEA, KP, as well as supplementary training for doctors trained outside the EU and EEA, KUL.
The unit additionally provides administrative support to the Programme Council for Medical Education, PRL.
