Faculty organisation

The faculty's highest decision-making body is the faculty board consisting of dean and deputy dean, appointed by the vice-chancellor, teachers appointed by the faculty's scientifically competent teachers, student representatives and an external member. The faculty board chairman is the dean who has a delegation of authority to take a series of independent decisions, especially regarding teacher recruitment.

The faculty board determines the budget and business plan for the faculty.

The faculty board has at their disposal three preparatory committees: the Research Committee, the Education Committee and the Committee for PhD studies.

In addition, there is an Employment committee that prepares matters for decisions by the dean or the vice-chancellor (professor appointments). The faculty leadership consists of the dean, the deputy dean and the chairman of the Research Committee, the Education Committee and the Committee for PhD studies.

At the faculty level there is a faculty office whose task is to prepare matters for decision-making bodies and to provide services to the faculty's institutions/units and programme councils.

The faculty has 11 departments where education and research are conducted, and in addition to that three centers with their own staff.

The faculty has a crisis communication group led by the dean. Contact the dean if you have any questions regarding crisis communication.
