Defence of doctoral thesis

Doctoral students must apply for a permit to defend their doctoral thesis and it is on the Dean to grant permission. The head of department or director of doctoral studies must submit a proposal to the Examining Board, external reviewer and chairperson no later than eight weeks before the date of the defence of doctoral thesis. Decisions are reached by the Dean at a Dean's Executive Meeting.
