Science Outreach - new way of science communiation

    Welcome to Umeå Institute of Design's presentation of the project Science Outreach, carried out during spring 2014 in collaboration with CIRC, Climate Impacts Research Centre, Umeå University.

    The research at CIRC focus on the effects of climatic and environmental changes on high-latitude ecosystems. CIRC belong to the department of Ecology and Environmental Science at Umeå University and is stationed at Abisko Scientific Research Station run by the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat.

    During ten weeks, 14 first year students at the master program in Interaction Design have explored and designed new and alternative services for communicating CIRC's research and research outcome as part of visitors experience in Abisko with vicinities.
