The Foundation to prevent antibiotic resistance opens an annual call

The Foundation to prevent antibiotic resistance now opens an annual call. The Foundation gives direct financial support for research, educational initiatives and information activities aimed at combating antibiotic resistance. Apply no later than 26 August 2019.

The purpose of the projects should be to reduce the use of antibiotics through preventive measures that strengthen the immune system and thereby reduce the number of infections. The Foundation plans to allocate at least SEK two million.

In order for the application to be valid, a complete application is required via the application form. It should also show how the project follows the Foundation's intentions.

Write a summary of a maximum of one page, where the project's scientific goals are clearly stated. It should appear in what way the project helps to reduce the development of antibiotic resistance through preventive measures.

Notification of granted applications

The Foundation's decision on approved grants will be announced in October 2019.

Persons receiving funding commit to communicate their project at a publicly popular science level through press releases, lectures or in other ways reaching out with new knowledge to the public.

Limitations
Support is not provided for the development of new antibiotics, travel to conferences, information or training of health professionals to reduce prescription of antibiotics.

Decisions of funding are taken by the Board of the Foundation.
