Call, funding for pedagogical development work

The Strategic Board for Education (UN) announces funding for pedagogical development work for first and second cycle education at the Faculty of Medicine. 1000 000 SEK of UNs budget is allocated towards this call. Apply latest by March 3rd.

Application could be made for projects that last up to two years; the project should however commence latest by 2023-09-01.

If the project is focused within a specific study program, the gained insights should be applicable/useful to the Faculty's other study programs. The project can also cover pedagogical development work within first and second cycle education, without any direct association with a specific program or course (e.g development of methods of new teaching, examination, and reviewing).

Projects that aim to develop medical pedagogical research will be specially prioritized. Additionally, documented collaboration between multiple programs is meritorious.

A project report, including financial accounting, should be submitted to UN latest three months after the conclusion of the project however no later than 2025-04-01. Additionally, the applicant is expected to present the project at a UN meeting and the Faculty of Medicine's internal website.

  • Description of the project (purpose, the questions at issue, timeplan)
  • Budget, including the possibility of co-financing
  • Plan for review or implementation of the projects results
  • Approval from the Head of Department or equivalent

A signed original (alternatively, signed via eduSign) must be sent digitally to UN.medfak@umu.se, (latest by 2023-03-03). Mention "Pedagogical development resource" in the e-mail subject.

Decision is made by UN, following assessments and recommendation by a review committee that is appointed by UN.
