Urkund is an automatic text-recognition system. The system cannot decide whether a text is plagiarism or not without a teacher or examiner looking at Urkund's report. Urkund compares the submission to other source areas. Matching sources can have different causes. That is why it is important that you, as a teacher, review the report. If it is plagiarism it is not automatically cheating. The teacher assesses if a plagiarism is an attempt at cheating. Read more under the headline Suspected plagiarism or cheating.
Suspected plagiarism or cheating
