Sign up as speaker at TEDxUmeå 2017

    Have you got an exciting idea worth spreading on the TEDxUmeå stage on 3 May 2017? Or can you think of someone else's ideas that would be suited? The organisers are now looking for international, national and local speakers who are at the top of the game in their respective fields. Submissions need to be in by 10 February.

    TEDxUmeå is the Umeå's proudest place to meet, an important and open-minded stage for ideas worth spreading from the around the World. TEDxUmeå supports the idea of challenging people to think and rethink. Umeå is the home for exciting and committed individuals who stand ready to change the World, and who believe it is possible to strengthen Umeå's position as a progressive role model.

    The TEDxUmeå event offers an interesting afternoon and evening experience spanning across all areas – music, research, sex role debate, creativity, life style, and presents international, national and local thinkers who provide the audience with an abundance of new thoughts and ideas.

    The event gathers 400 participants on the day – but the speeches reaches around the World as they are filmed and published on the TED YouTube channel. Each talk is between 2 to 18 minutes long. Read more about and watch the films from for instance last year's TEDxUmeå with as many as six researchers from Umeå University.

    All participating speakers also get coached into getting the maximum effect of their ideas worth spreading, which is something that can be useful for later presentations.
