New mobile phone contract requires action

How about soe actualuseful information - like how much the two contract options will cost. The included data allowance is basically a joke given current data useage and this is the only reason I even have a mobile phone so I hope this was takenseriously when whoever negotatited this new contract. My experience of the previous business contract was that it was a joke compared to what you get as a private customer, which is quite surprising.

There is alos zero information on coverage. I do not know how this works in Sweden. If I am in a region where only Telia have signal - which is very often the case when I am working on forests colecting samples - will I be able to use the Telia network.

This really was not a well put together or thought our communication about the new contract.

The public procurement of fixed and mobile operator services was won by TDC. They met all basic requirements and Umeå University's supplementary requirements regarding coverage in the areas and within the buildings the University operates, as well as coverage within Västerbotten's entire municipalities. The new prices are also advantageous compared to private contracts.

Since Tele2 delivers the mobile services, reception and capacity will differ slightly from our previous contract. The included mobile data is sufficient for everything except streaming content. If you need more, you can connect to a wireless data network if available or purchase an additional mobile data contract. It is correct that Tele2 has some what poorer coverage in Västerbotten in terms of reception, but in the case of data traffic, they offer roughly the same reception for higher data rates. In cases where data or calls must be transferred to places where specific solutions are required, for example field work, they are handled on a case-by-case basis after motivation and priority through application to the head of department, head of office or equivalent.

The biggest and most important difference for users will be the changed procedure in paying for private calls made with your work phone. You will have a subscription with fixed limits for data, texts and calls. As long as your use is within the limit, you will not need to distinguish between private use and use in the service.
