Employee fitness card agreement enters second year

    It has been nearly one year since the current fitness and motion agreement between Umeå University and Umeå Sport & Motion (USM) came into effect. All university employees that signed up for a discounted card in August 2016 and wish to continue will need to register for an annual renewal.

    (enter your UmU-Id and Swedish identification number)

    If you are signing a new contract, USM will then notify you via your umu email to let you know when your card can be collected at USM.

    Facts about the USM fitness card, 2016/2017 contract year:

    • During the first contract year, approximately 500 employees signed up for a USM fitness card, 60% female and 40% male.
    • During a measurement taken in February 2017, fitness cards were used on average 4.8 times, or approximately 1 time per week.
    • During the year, 55% have used strength training and fitness equipment, 30% group training and 15% have combined group training and other offerings.
