Nominate members to the Electoral Assembly

    A new electoral assembly at Umeå University will be appointed. All employees at the university are given the opportunity to nominate members to the Electoral Assembly. For this purpose, the faculty has prepared a nomination page where employees can anonymously leave their suggestions.

    A short explanation of each proposal must be given. Persons nominated should be scientifically competent teachers. In this context, scientifically competent teachers refer to university lecturers, professors and other teachers with doctoral degrees, with a tenured position at the university. Even professors and lecturers on artistic basis are included in this category.

    The last day to nominate is Friday, June 7th.

    The duties of the Electoral Assembly:

    •Appoint electorates to Region 5's Electoral Assembly, which proposes candidates to sit in VR:s, Fortes and Formas Research Councils. Umeå University selects 3 electorals for VR / NT, 6 electorals for VR/MH, 4 electorals for VR/HS, 6 electorals for Forte and 3 electorals for Formas

    •Appoint teachers in Umeå University's Board, from January 1, 2019

    •Appoint part of the Umeå University Hearing Assembly, that for example has a central function when electing a new Vice Chancellor at the university
