New member of the University Board

    Amy Loutfi, professor of information technology at Örebro University, replaces Sara Öhrvall as member of the University Board at Umeå University.

    Amy Loutfi's research revolves around artificial intelligence and robotics. Vice-Chancellor Hans Adolfsson welcomes Amy Loutfi to the University Board.

    "Her qualifications in a steadily growing field will be of great significance in the Board's continued work.

    Amy Loutfi is looking forward to her new assignment.

    "My view of Umeå University is a very positive one, from what I know so far the University is in an important phase of development and has several opportunities forward to continue in its role as a significant societal actor."
