Informational meeting about 5G

    Umeå University is one of five partners in the Umeå 5G project, where the objective is to develop the mobile network throughout all of Umeå. On Monday 3 June at 17:00-19:30, Umeå 5G is giving opportunity for those interested to find out more and ask questions at an information meeting at Studion, Umeå Folkets Hus.

    Umeå Science Park is responsible for the project, and together with Umeå University (represented in the steering group by Katrine Riklund), Umeå Municipality, Region Västerbotten and Umeå Energi, Umeå 5G has been granted authority by the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) PTS, to establish a 5G infrastructure in Umeå during 2019.

    The goal is that in the second half of 2019, some minor development environments will be established at selected locations in Umeå.
