Cases of COVID-19 have increased in Umeå

    Since last week, the number of cases of COVID-19 has increased in the Västerbotten County – particularly in Umeå. For this reason, it is important that each and every one of us take our responsibility in stopping the further spread of infection.

    Umeå University's approach is still that everyone who can should work from home until further notice to reduce the number of people on campus and on the workplace. Also, physical meetings must be exchanged for alternative solutions to the extent possible. This is particularly important just now.

    So, please remind yourself and those around you of what needs to be done:

    • If you have symptoms of disease – stay at home
    • Get tested if you have symptoms
    • Work from home when you can
    • Keep distance and avoid big gatherings
    • Wash your hands often
