Chat service for newly admitted students

A new chat service for newly admitted students has been established with the aim of reducing the number of in-person visits to Infocenter.

At the start of each term, Infocenter has approximately 1,500-2,000 visitors per day. Due to Covid-19, the number of visitors must be limited which is why a chat platform is currently being tested as another contact method.

"We hope and believe that the opportunity to chat should help reduce the number of physical visits to Infocenter," says Terese Björk, head of Infocenter. "We also believe that this is a channel of contact that our new students will appreciate."

The chat service will be accessible on all web pages for newly admitted students. It will be staffed by student ambassadors, Infocenter, Student Services Office, ITS and some members of the International Office from 30 July through 11 September.
