Local collective agreements with OFR/S and Seko

Umeå University has reached collective agreements with the trade unions OFR/S and Seko for a three-year period, from 1 October 2020 to 30 September 2023. New salaries for the first revision period will be paid out on 25 March 2021, calculated retroactively from 1 October 2020.

Umeå University employees who are not trade union members, or are members of other trade unions than Saco, OFR/S and Seko, will have their salaries determined based upon the principles of the local salary agreements.

New salaries are calculated retroactively from 1 October 2020 and paid out with the March salary 2021.

Salary discussion for the first revision period

Managers should offer appointments for salary discussion to all employees regardless of trade union membership so that discussions can take place before 23 February. The discussion should focus on the employee's work performance from 1 October 2019 to 30 september 2020.
Managers will shortly be contacted by HR specialist regarding the salary reviews from October 2020.

Some common aspects of the collective agreements with Saco-S, OFR/S and Seko:

  • a general wage increase for the first year
  • new salary is paid from 25 March 2021
  • individual accomplishment during year one of the three-year period will be taken into account in year two
  • three milestones for salary revision: 1 October 2020, 1 June 2021 and 1 October 2022.
