New chance to Zoom in on research

    Do you want to hold lectures for schoolchildren via Zoom? The faculty's school programme "Zooma in på forskning", where schools can order a digital lecture or workshop for their class, continues. So far, the interest from the schools has been great, over 900 visits to the website have been made since the start last autumn.

    The purpose of "Zooma in på forskning" is to arouse curiosity for science and technology and to give students an insight into the fascinating world of research. Due to the corona pandemic, the regular school programme "Forskning à la carte", which involved physical visits to schools, had to be paused. A digital variant was launched to offer schools continued contact with the faculty's researchers.

    With ten different popular science lectures and workshops, some of which were previously included in the school programme "Forskning à la carte", schools are offered to book Zoom lectures. The activity is mainly aimed at upper secondary and upper secondary schools. Information about "Zooma in på forskning" has been sent out to schools via email, newsletters and on social media. The interest has been great, just after a few months, close to 600 visits to the website for "Zooma in på forskning" were noted in research and a total of just over 900 have visited the website. So far, about 15 lectures/workshops have been reported, but the interest from the schools in the activity remains high.
