Summer greetings from the deans at the Faculty of science and technology

The past year has been challenging and virtually all parts of the business have been forced to make major changes due to the pandemic. In an impressive way, both staff and students have handled the challenges with great patience and hard work. We have now been living with the pandemic for more than a year and even though we can see the light in the tunnel, we are not there yet. Now, summer is approaching and you are all worthy of a period of much-needed leave before the autumn when we hope to be able to return to studies and work on campus.

The major adjustments we have made to be able to study and work at home will affect the business over a long period of time in the future and it is important that we learn from the experiences the past year has given us. Happily enough, during the previous year we have increased both the number of students and employees, which bodes well for the future. We would like to extend a big thank you to all employees and students for your valuable efforts during the year.

We feel confident and hope for the future and with these words we want to wish you a really nice summer.
