Survey about needs for computing and storage to all researchers

    With a survey, Umeå University´s central management seeks to assess your needs for computing and storage, for the purpose of directing future investments in research engineers and hardware infrastructure. we kindly ask you to complete the survey by Wednesday 4 May 2022.

    Resources for computations and storage are core elements of research support. Until now, Swedish researchers could rely on resources provided by the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC). As you may know, SNIC will be replaced at the end of 2022, and the focus of the future organization is not yet defined.

    At the same time, Umeå University's local supercomputer – Kebnekaise, hosted at the High Performance Computing Center North (HPC2N) – is also approaching the end of its lifetime.

    We invite all researchers who either use or plan to use resources for computations and/or storage to answer the following questions.
