Nominate to Umeå University's Electoral Assembly

    All employees at the Faculty of Social Scienses have the right to make nominations to Umeå University's Electoral Assembly (electors and group deputies) for the period 2022-07-01 - 2026-06-30. Last day to nominate is September 12.

    Umeå University's Electoral Assembly consists of 45 electors and 15 group deputies of which 14 electors and 4 deputies come from the Faculty of Social Sciences.

    Nominated persons must be permanently employed ("tillsvidareanställda") associate professors (lektor) and professors. Send your nominations to asa.isaksson@umu.se. Last day to nominate is September 12.

    The Electoral Assembly's mission is to:

    • serve as an electoral assembly when appointing teacher representatives to the University Board
    • serve as an electoral assembly for the appointment of electors and depities for the research councils' electoral assemblies at region 5
    • constitute part of the consultative assembly ("hörandeförsamling") when appointing a vice-chancellor
    • possibly serve as an consultative assembly in other appointment processes at Umeå University.
