Attend the Annual Celebration 15 October 2022

The Annual Celebration ceremony place in Aula Nordica on Saturday 15 October at 14:00 until approximately 17:30. At the ceremony honorary doctors, professors, award recipients and medalists are being honoured. The ceremony programme is highlighted by song and music. The ceremony is open to the public and you can find unreserved seats on the balcony or in the back of the auditorium. No dress code applies if you are only attending the ceremony.

Banquet

The banquet at Nolia begins after the ceremony at aprox. 18:00-01.00. Buses will transport guests from Aula Nordica to Nolia. The banquet includes a welcome drink, a three-course dinner with wine or non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and dancing to the band Renhornen.

Registration to the banquet

Staff member can register themselves and one accompanying guest to the banquet, as long as if seats are available. Everyone attending the banquet will also get a reserved seat at the ceremony. The banquet costs SEK 950 per person

You can register yourself and also one guest, if you like, by sending an email to arshogtid@umu.se no later than 20 September – the principle "first come first serve" applies. State

  • your name
  • department
  • any accompanying guest
  • any dietary requirements for you and any accompanying guest
  • if you will pay as a private person (state you home address and date of birth) or if your department will pay (state department, contact person at the department and organizational unit). The invoice will be sent after the celebration.

Dress code for banquet guests

  • White tie and tails and white waistcoat
  • Long evening gown in colour of your own choice
  • National costume
  • Academic gown

The ribbon of an order may be worn. Only the Dean and Honorary doctors of the Faculty of Medicine participating in the ceremony will wear the doctoral hat.
