Funding opportunities for Japanese Swedish collaboration projects

MIRAI 2.0 currently has two open calls to award funding for Japanese-Swedish Research and Innovation projects.

Funding for initiation of Academia/Industry Collaborations – Deadline September 17, 2021

Through Intsam, a coordinating group for Swedish governmental research funding bodies, MIRAI 2.0 provides an opportunity to apply for seed funding to initiate new collaborations between Sweden and Japan involving both academia, businesses and public sector organizations.

This call is open for collaboration projects between Japan and Sweden that contribute towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Projects should be within one of MIRAI 2.0's thematic focus areas: Ageing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Materials Science and Sustainability.

The maximum grant awarded by Intsam is 90 000 SEK per application. Only the Swedish project partners may receive funding.

MIRAI 2.0 Call for Japan-Sweden collaborative projects – Deadline November 1, 2021

MIRAI2.0 is launching a call for seed funding to support promising collaborative initiatives between researchers at MIRAI2.0 member universities in Sweden and Japan.

Projects should be within one of MIRAI 2.0's thematic focus areas: Ageing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Materials Science and Sustainability and have the potential to initiate new, or further develop existing, collaboration of high scientific quality between Sweden and Japan within the scope of MIRAI2.0

Each proposal will be funded with maximum of 67 000 SEK to Swedish project partners and a maximum of 400000 JPY to Japanese project partners.
