Nomination for Wallenberg Scholars 2023

The Faculty of Science and Technology invites the departments to nominate for Wallenberg Scholars 2023 on Februari 20 at the latest.

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation has opened a new call for Wallenberg Scholars.

The application process begins with the departments nominating their candidates to the faculty. Nominations should be sent to robert.johansson@umu.se on February 20 at the latest.

The nomination should be written in English and should contain the following:

  • The researcher's merits, i.e. CV and curriculum vitae.
  • Publication list.
  • Project description (max. 10 A4 pages, can be shorter).
  • Justification as to why the researcher's activities are considered an important part of UMU's research profile.
  • UMU's current support for the researcher's activities in the form of premises, basic support, form of employment etcetera. Please note that the foundation assumes that existing support remains during the grant period if the researcher is named a Wallenberg Scholar.
  • Current support from other external funding sources. Use the formatting suggestions in Appendix 2 (see link below).
