Applications for grants for internationalization

With internationalization initiatives, the Faculty of Medicine strives for high quality in the core missions - education, research and collaboration. Towards that end, the Strategic Board for Education announces funds for internationalization within the medical field of education at Bachelor's and Master's level. The last day for applications is 30 April 2024.

Follow application instructions below. Note that the University's and the Faculty's recommendations regarding international travel must be followed.
1. Grant for development of courses/modules in English
Development of courses/modules in English within the Faculty's programmes; comprising of internal development work and/or in collaboration with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) abroad. Co-financing is meritorious. A maximum of 80,000 SEK can be granted.
2. Grant for preparation for teacher and/or student mobility
Preparation that enables teacher and/or student mobility within the Faculty's programmes. Can refer to visits to HEIs abroad or guests from the same. Co-financing is meritorious. A maximum of 80,000 SEK can be granted.
3. Grant for development of courses/modules with virtual mobility
Development of virtual mobility in existing or new courses/modules in collaboration with a foreign HEI. Tip: https://virtualmobility.eadtu.eu/. Co-financing is meritorious. A maximum of 80,000 SEK is granted.

Instructions for the application
Eligible to apply is anyone who is employed at the Faculty of Medicine or the healthcare regions at the time of application and at the planned activity. Applicants are limited to one application per person and call. The application should be sent to int.med@umu.se; with the reference number (FS 2.1.6-295-24) provided in the subject line. Please note that the grant must cover both operating costs (salary and/or), and overhead. For more information, the financial officer at your department/unit should be contacted.

The application is written in English, maximum one A4 page plus a one-page CV (Georgia font 10) and a "Letter of intent" from the intended HEI abroad. Mention the reference number of the call, which part of the call it applies to (1-3), the applicant's name and personal identity number, department/institution, email address and telephone number, intended HEI abroad and its contact person (not required for part 2).

Describe planned activities, expected benefit for the applicant and for the faculty. Provide budget linked to activities, including any co-financing (financier and amount). Signature by program council chairman through eduSign is also mandatory (1-3).
