New salaries for doctoral candidates and amanuenses agreed

    New local collective agreements between Umeå University and the local trade unions. 

    The agreements between Umeå University and Saco-S contain salary scales for doctoral candidates and amanuenses.

    The agreements become effective on 1 October 2020 and 1 June 2021 respectively. The negotiating parties have agreed to bring the second salary revision forward to 1 June 2021.

    New salaries for doctoral candidates and amanuenses will be paid starting with the March pay check. The salary increase from 1 October onward will be received retroactively.

    Collective agreements regarding compensation for inconvenient working hours, teaching on evenings and weekends, on-call time and preparedness, sea service and business travel are still being negotiated. More information will come as soon as the agreements are finalised.
