In the 15 credits course Design-Build-Test starting in September, students from the civil engineering programs in biotechnology, engineering physics, computer science, mechanical engineering, and industrial economics work in teams of 6-8 people for five months with innovative projects. They receive training in agile project management and group development, and combine their skills to help you realise your project.

Ten project examples from last year:

Development of municipal flooding monitoring

Digitalization of tree planter, to position the planted trees

Transversal acoustic waves: Modelling wood properties and wood decay

An interactive gene editing game at Curiosum

Automated cleaning of DNA on magnetic beads using a pipetting robot

Rapid detection of chemicals using Lab-on-a-chip technology

Cleaning liquids, FAST

Marine Remote Sensing

Brain Game at Curiosum

Propane liquefier for wing integrated heat exchanger enables long-haul electric airplanes
