How do we facilitate co-production of knowledge?

16 August 2022

A workshop for early-career researchers at Umeå University and the Swedish University for Agricultural Sciences (SLU).

Thursday, September 15, at 10:15-12:00 in Humlab, Umeå University

Transdisciplinary perspectives are at the top of funding and research agencies' agendas. The declared goal is to produce societally relevant knowledge by including diverse actors from outside of academia in the research process.

But how do we facilitate the co-production of knowledge? Do we broker advice or expertise, or create dialogue and listen to others' experiences? What do our stakeholders expect from us as researchers?

In this workshop, we will explore these questions with a focus on cooperation and collaboration, and we invite you to reflect on your own experiences and role as a researcher.

The workshop is funded by Future Forests, an interdisciplinary forest research and communication platform at SLU, Umeå University and Skogforsk, and Future Faculty at the faculties of social sciences and humanities at Umeå University.

Workshop leaders are Victoria Sörensson, Project Co-ordinator at the Research Support and Collaboration Office and Kristina Sehlin MacNeil, Researcher and Deputy Director at Várdduo – Centre for Sámi Research, Umeå University.

Fika and coffee will provided for registered participants (please indicate allergies/preferences).
