The Faculty's new professors highlighted at the Annual Celebration

On Saturday morning the new professors, honorary doctors and prize winners will give popular science lectures at the University. In the evening, they are celebrated at the traditional ceremony in the Aula Nordica.

This year's professors from the Faculty are:

Magnus Andersson, professor i fysik, Institutionen för fysik

Aleksandra Foltynowicz Matyba, professor i fysik, Institutionen för fysik

Nicholas Kamenos, professor i marin ekosystemvetenskap, Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

Patrik Rydén, professor i matematisk statistik, Institutionen för matematik och matematisk statistik

Nathaniel Street, professor i växtbiologi, Institutionen för fysiologisk botanik

David Wardle, professor i ekologi, Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

Stephan Wenkel, professor i växtbiologi, Institutionen för fysiologisk botanik

Danielle Wilde, professor i design med inriktning mot hållbarhet, Designhögskolan vid Umeå universitet

Magnus Österholm, professor i matematikdidaktik, Institutionen för naturvetenskapernas och matematikens didaktik

This year's honorary doctor at the Faculty is Jennie Ekbeck.

Stefan Jansson, professor, Institutionen för fysiologisk botanik, receives Bo och Barbro Hammarströms pris vid Umeå universitet.
