New login procedure

    From February 28, the login procedure in most systems at Umeå University will look a little different. Instead of entering your Umu ID and password on the same page, the login is now split into two steps. The change is introduced so that more services can enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) and so that the steps in the login are similar to other logins in Microsoft services.

    When you, as an employee at Umeå University, log into a system starting on February 28, it will look a little different. Previously entered both username and password on the same page:

     

    From February 28, the login will instead take place in two steps, one for username and one for password. Then you select authentication options (eg Microsoft Authenticator or Freja eID+).
