Teaching Sabbatical - an opportunity for international experience

On 22 April 2024, an information session will be held about the Teaching Sabbatical - a scholarship for teachers with a passion for teaching to spend an autumn term at an overseas university. The deadline for registration for the information session is 16 April. On 12 June, an application workshop will be held for those interested in being nominated for the programme.

Emilie Sörås Antila, programme manager at STINT, will inform about the programme and former scholarship holders will talk about their experiences of applying for and participating in the programme.

Time and place: 22 April, 15:00-16:30 in UB339, University Library. If necessary, the seminar will be given in English.

The application workshop on 12 June is for those interested in being nominated for the programme. At the workshop, we will take a closer look at the criteria for the call and what can be strategic to highlight in an application. Former scholarship holders will share their experiences.

Time and place of the application workshop: 12 June 13.15-15.15 in the Small Conference Room, UPL. If necessary, the workshop will be held in English. More information and a link to registration can be found in the calendar of events.

STINT Teaching Sabbatical is based on a nomination process, the director of studies or head of department can nominate interested candidates to the International Office, then an internal review takes place before Umeå University nominates 2-3 candidates to STINT. The deadline for applications to be submitted to the International Office is mid-August 2024.
