The Faculty Leadership at the Faculty of Medicine for the period 1 July 2017 – 30 June 2021 would like to complete their term of office by sending a heartfelt thank you and summer greetings to all faculty, staff, students and collaborative partners.

We would hereby like to send greetings and a sincere thank you to all students, faculty and staff at the Faculty of Medicine, as well as to our collaborative partners within the university and to partners at the regions and municipalities. It has been a true pleasure to work with you over the last four years.
We are incredibly proud of the faculty, staff and students at the Faculty of Medicine. We are proud of the work you have accomplished during this period, not least during the last year's extraordinary and overwhelming circumstances caused by the pandemic. Hard times test our strength and also bring out the best of human compassion, this is what the Dean wrote in his letter to the Faculty of Medicine when the pandemic escalated in March 2020. When summarising the time that has passed since then, we have certainly seen numerous examples of both strength and humanity during the havoc caused by the pandemic.
So – Thank You to all admirable members of faculty and staff who have worked untiringly to ensure that everything has worked out, despite the tough situation. Thank You to all students for the understanding and impressive patience you have shown, for your contributions to simplifying this situation and for your study performance despite the challenges that have been thrown at you. Thank You to all collaborative partners at the regions and municipalities for your hard work in maintaining room for, and the quality of, our educations in your organisations through a period in which the challenges have probably been tougher than ever for you. Finally, Thank You to the University Management, the University Administration and other faculties and parts of the university for good co-operation!
We still know very little about what the future has in store for us. We are hoping for brighter days and to be able to meet onsite again during the next academic year. At the same time, we know that we can handle huge challenges and that it strengthens us.
We wish you all a truly amazing and recuperating summer!
