Mobility is a fundamental asset to sustain knowledge and technology transfer. UCMR Visiting Scientist Programme aims to promote research collaboration, knowledge exchange and internationalisation.
The programme will support national and international visiting scientists to be hosted at the laboratories at Umeå University as well as support for visit of Umeå scientists to national and international laboratories to promote new collaborations.
The funding can be used for travelling, accommodation and daily allowance, but not salaries or research costs. The visiting programme should start as soon as possible from May 2023. The visiting time period is flexible, up to twelve months. The programme prioritizes the support of new collaborations to strengthen translational research.
Eligibility:
• The applicant should be UCMR PI.
• The applicant should get permission from the his/her department before participating the programme.
Application:
• Project title
• Project description, max one page in PDF-format (times new roman, font size 11, margins 2.5 cm), describing concisely:
1. Objectives in relation to research
2. Contribution to and from each project partner
3. Project plan
4. Available resources, including existing funding of the key persons in the project
• CVs of the applicant and partners (max two pages for each PI)
• Visiting plan in table format: participating persons, time period of stays, purpose
• Budget and explanation of the budget (correlated with the visiting plan)
