Tool for online interaction and collaboration when teaching and working remotely

14 January 2021

Whiteboard is a tool that can be of use if you hold workshops, group work or similar in your teaching or other work and require a digital tool for discussions or planning tasks.

The Whiteboard tool has been available to students and staff for some time through O365.umu.se. But in autumn 2020, Microsoft advanced the functionalities in Whiteboard considerably, as well as other parts of Office 365. And Whiteboard can now work as a helpful tool in collaborations of various forms. Use Whiteboard during meetings if you, for instance, wish to plan a project or hold discussions, or recommend using it for group work by students.

Whiteboard is a part of Office 365 and can be accessed by all students and staff through O365.umu.se. Log in using your Umu-id. More in-depth information about training, support, etc. is being developed, but this does not stop you from getting started.

Apart from recommending Whiteboard, the IT Office is also looking into more tools within O365 that can be relevant to online teaching and other forms of online work.
