Learn how to use the bibliometric analysis tool SciVal

21 September 2021

Do you want to become better at analyzing and comparing research in your field? Maybe find potential collaborators? Now a new in-house training gives you the chance by learning how to use SciVal.

SciVal is a bibliometric analysis tool based on the Scopus database. Here you can find published research data from more than 20,000 research institutions in over 230 countries worldwide.

In collaboration with Elsevier, the business behind both SciVal and Scopus, the Research Support and Collaboration Office now offers you who are employed at Umeå University the opportunity to learn how the tool works.

The training, which you can find via Canvas, starts on November 1 and is aimed primarily at you who are a researcher, administrator or infrastructure manager. After completing the training, you will become a certified user.

The course is given in English and is estimated to take 6–8 hours over six weeks.
