Research and Innovation Conference within South Africa Project

Researchers are invited to apply for a nomination to a closing research and innovation conference within South Africa Project.

Umeå University has since 2017 been one of the participating universities in the STINT-funded project SASUF, South Africa - Swedish University Forum. So far, two major research conferences have been conducted on the theme of research and innovation.

The closing conference will take place in Uppsala 6–8 May 2020. Umeå University can nominate approximately 10 researchers to participate in the conference. The project pays for two hotel nights in Uppsala (6–8 May).

Researchers from Umeå School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, or Faculty of Arts, must submit their application to the respective faculty offices. Applications from the Faculty of Medicine should be sent to anna.lundberg@umu.se

About SASUF

A collaborative STINT-project between universities, organizations and authorities in Sweden and South Africa. In the years 2017-2020, researchers, students, companies, research funding and authorities from Sweden and South Africa will offer opportunities for different forms of cooperation to strengthen existing relations between the two countries and establish new forms of sustainable cooperation with a focus on younger researchers.

Uppsala University is coordinating the project. Umeå University participates along with Lund University, Karlstad University, KI – Karolinska institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Malmö University, Stockholm University, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Gothenburg, University West and Örebro University.
