Grants for infrastructure in education and training

The Strategic Board for Education (UN) announces funding for infrastructure for education for 2024. The call concerns funds for investments/renovation of equipment or premises, for educational programs at first and second cycle levels that strengthen the conditions for high quality within these educations. Apply latest by 28 February 2024.

For 2024, a total of SEK 5 000 000 is announced for infrastructure for education. Starting year 2024, the funds will be transferred to the Department, or Programme Council, according to the depreciation cost plan. An application can be made either by a Department or a Programme Council.

If an application is granted, the equipment must be ordered no later than 31 August 2024.

The application must include:

  • The program or course to which the application relates, applicant's name and e-mail address
  • Description of the use of requested funds
  • Time plan
  • Completed budget template for infrastructure orders for the year 2024. The template must state the purchase price, depreciation period and the month in which depreciation begins. Note that no indirect costs are applied to depreciation costs.

  • Approval from the Head of Department or equivalent

A signed original should be sent digitally to UN.medfak@umu.se, mark the e-mail in the subject line with "Infrastructure funds undergraduate level". Application deadline is 28 February 28 2024.

Decisions are made by the Strategic Board for Education.

The Department or Programme Councils plan for depreciation costs must be submitted to the faculty no later than 1 December 2024.

A report of a maximum of 1 A4 page including financial accounting must be submitted to the Strategic Board for Education no later than 31 December 2024.
