Formas opens new call for early-career researchers

    On 29 February, "Career grant for early-career researchers" will be launched. This call replaces Formas' previous initiatives for mobility support and research projects targeting the same group, which have been part of the Annual Open call. The preliminary deadline for applications is 31 March, 2024.

    The call welcomes projects where you, as a young researcher, formulate your own research questions within Formas' areas of responsibility: Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning – and interdisciplinary research questions are encouraged. Your project should also include elements of national or international mobility that involves work in other research environments.

    The call will be carried out in two tracks:

    • Track 0–3 are targeted to individuals that must have completed their doctoral degree (diploma issued) 1 January, 2021 – 1 October, 2024.
    • Track 3–7 are targeted to individuals that must have completed their doctoral degree (diploma issued) 1 January 1, 2017 – 31 December, 2020.

    You can apply for project funding for up to four years in one of the tracks.
