Postponed change of mobile network operator

16 February 2017

In December, information about a change in mobile network operator stated that the University would change its mobile contracts from Telia to TDC this February. The big move of all contracts has been postponed to give room for a test period where a small group of users will be moved this spring. This in order to test and ensure that all administrative processes involved will run smoothly.

"The change concerns many people and several details need to function properly. That is why we want to be assured that it will work. Having a dialogue with other parts of the organisation is an important aspect in that," says deputy chief administrative officer Richard Olsson.

The individuals who will take part in this pilot study, will be informed by their managers.

The purchase stop that was introduced on 1 February has been released. Those who are in need of signing a mobile contract can do so through Wisum. A new temporary purchase stop on new contracts will be made when the move to TDC comes in question.

More information about the big move will be published on Aurora as and when it becomes available.
