Register your salary account before 5 April

23 March 2017

You must register the account into which you want your salary no later than 5 April. If your account details have not been registered before then, your salary will be sent as a giro form by post. The reason behind this is that Umeå University is changing banks from Nordea to Danske Bank, due to a new national framework agreement. This means that all salaries will be paid out from Danske Bank instead of Nordea.

This concerns all of those who:

  • have an employment at Umeå University
    or
  • have previously been paid by Umeå University and who will be getting future salary or other payments from Umeå University

In order to get your salary paid into your bank account, you need to let Danske Bank know which account you want your salary paid into before 5 April. Registering your account requires a Swedish BankID or Mobile BankID. If you do not have one, it can be ordered free of charge from your Swedish bank, regardless of bank. This also goes for those who are already customers of Danske Bank.

If you fail to register an account number on time, you will get your salary paid via a giro form that is sent by post to the home address registered in the University payroll system. The giro form can then be cashed in at your bank or at a shop or agent offering coupon redemption.

More information on how the registration takes place can be found at aurora.umu.se/en/salary. In-depth instructions in English are provided. This page also contains contact details to your payroll specialist if you have any questions.
