After having set the project plan in the University Board, the project is to deliver a status report on 20 November. A report of the risk and consequence assessment and its vision is to be completed on 5 February 2019. The proposals for a new Umeå Arts Campus should be handed in by 22 March. The final report and all preparations should be completed by 1 December 2019 prior to the implementation on 1 January 2020.
The project plan for Umeå Arts Campus has been established. Suggested changes as a result of the project should take effect on 1 January 2020.

In August this year, Professor Mikael Wiberg, Department of Informatics, was appointed project manager of Umeå Arts Campus. The purpose of the project plan is to coordinate the artistic schools, departments and sections at Umeå University to maintain and develop high quality results within these organisations and improve the visibility and impact of our arts within the University, nationally and internationally.
The project should stipulate how each school, institute, academy and department should be placed in the organisation, and decide how each part should be governed. The project is also responsible for drafting a joint communication plan, a plan for the organisation and coordination, a model for coordinating premises and workshops, and create a joint vision for the organisation.
Beside the project manager, the project organisation consists of a steering council, a project team and a reference group, and the University Management acts as the steering group. The project team consists of eight members representing:
- the Faculty Board at the Faculty of Science and Technology
- the Faculty Board at the Faculty of Arts
- Umeå Institute of Design
- Umeå School of Architecture
- Umeå Academy of Fine Arts
- the Department of Creative Studies
- Bildmuseet
- a joint student representative for Umeå Students' Union of Science and Technology and Umeå Students' Union.
